Tim Holder (b. 1997), Swiss cinematographer based in Zurich. I started out making films with my friend Yannis Petrone, and the camera has stayed my place ever since. Today I work on commercial, documentary and independent projects, taking care of camera, light and grip from the first idea to the last shooting day. Alongside that, I work as a freelance director of photography for agencies, production companies and directors in Switzerland and abroad. My work is shaped by an interest in natural light, real places and the people in front of the lens, and by the belief that a strong image comes from careful preparation as much as from instinct on set.
